- What you own & maintain: You own your townhome unit and the lot it sits on. The association maintains common elements (e.g., shared grounds, amenities) and limited common elements (e.g., patios, driveways) assigned to your unit. You are responsible for interior finishes, appliances, and plumbing/wiring inside your unit, as well as sewer and water lines serving only your unit.

- Insurance: The association insures common elements and the exterior of townhomes. You must insure your unit's interior (e.g., wallboard, flooring, cabinets, appliances) via an HO-3 or HO-6 policy.
