It only changes the insurance premium and deductible payment rules; the rest of the original declaration remains in effect. This document is a partial amendment, not the full rulebook.
- Insurance premiums & deductibles: All insurance premiums (including directors & officers and public liability) are paid by the association as a common expense. Deductibles on association policies are also common expenses, except deductibles on limited common area policies are paid by the unit owner whose unit those areas serve. If a unit owner carries their own insurance, they pay their own deductible, unless another unit owner caused the damage — then that owner pays the deductible for the damaged unit.
