Caswell Dunes is a condominium community in Caswell Beach, NC. These Rules & Regulations apply to all owners, renters, and guests. They cover day-to-day living standards, from parking and pets to noise and decorations.
- Low-Speed Vehicles (LSVs): LSVs (golf carts, e-bikes, etc.) must follow local ordinances: operators must be at least 15 with a valid driver's permit, have safety equipment, and obey traffic rules. LSVs must pull over for regular traffic and have lights after dark.
- Parking & vehicles: No boats, trailers, campers, or non-automobile vehicles may be parked in common areas unless fully inside a garage/carport. Multiplex units have 3 spaces per unit. On-street parking is limited to under 72 hours. Overnight parking of boats/campers requires association consent.
- Pets: Pets must be leashed and waste picked up. No pets (except service animals) in the enclosed pool area. Pet fencing (visible or invisible) and dog houses are not allowed.
- Exterior decorations & signs: Holiday decorations may be displayed one week before to one week after (winter: Thanksgiving to Jan 10). Flags up to 4x6 ft allowed. Political signs: one per election, max 24x24 inches, displayed 45 days before to 7 days after election. For-sale signs: one window sign for multiplex, lawn sign for patio homes set back 10 ft. No for-rent signs.
- Noise & nuisances: No excessive noise after 11pm. No vehicle/boat maintenance in carports or common parking. Construction work must be cleaned nightly; dumpsters must fit in garage/carport or be moved nightly.
- Alterations & exterior changes: Interior changes that don't impair structure are allowed. Exterior changes require prior written approval via the Architectural Review Board (ARB) online application. No painting or staining without approval; multiplex owners may not stain decks.
- Pool rules: Pool hours 8am-8pm. Shower before entering. No smoking, food, or glass in pool area. Swim at own risk.
- Rental reporting: Owners who rent must report rental information (short/long term, rental agency contact) to the Association Manager.
