- What you own & maintain: You own the interior of your unit (including space heating, water heating, and air conditioning apparatus serving it exclusively). The association maintains the common elements (e.g., structure, roof, common areas). Limited common elements like exterior doors, windows, and porches are assigned to your unit but maintained by the association, with costs assessed to your unit.
