About HOAs in Washington

Washington community associations are governed by the Washington Uniform Common Interest Ownership Act (WUCIOA, RCW Chapter 64.90) for associations created on or after July 1, 2018, by the Homeowners' Associations chapter (RCW 64.38) and Condominium Act (RCW 64.34) for older associations. State law gives owners detailed rights around access to records, member meetings, board elections, and proxy voting. Each Washington association also adopts its own declaration, bylaws, rules, and amendments — HOAproxy aggregates those documents across the Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, and Spokane metros and makes the full text searchable.
