About HOAs in Missouri
Missouri community associations are governed by the Missouri Uniform Condominium Act (Mo. Rev. Stat. §§448.005 et seq.) for condominiums created on or after September 28, 1983, and by general nonprofit corporation law for HOAs. The Condominium Act sets requirements for the declaration, bylaws, unit-owner meetings, board elections, and access to records. Each Missouri association also adopts its own rules and amendments.
