About HOAs in Minnesota
Minnesota community associations are governed by the Minnesota Common Interest Ownership Act (MCIOA, Minn. Stat. Chapter 515B) for associations created on or after June 1, 1994, and by older statutes for pre-MCIOA condominiums and planned communities. MCIOA sets detailed requirements around the declaration, bylaws, member meetings, board elections, access to records, and proxy voting. Each Minnesota association also adopts its own rules and amendments. HOAproxy collects those documents and makes the full text searchable across the Twin Cities, Rochester, Duluth, and every other Minnesota community on the platform.
