What Indian Hills Homes Association's governing documents say
Indian Hills Homes Association is a single-family homeowners association in Mission Hills, KS. These are the association's bylaws, which govern how the corporation is run, including membership, board elections, meetings, and voting — they do not set the community's use restrictions (such as pet limits, rental rules, or architectural standards).
- Membership & voting: Any person who holds legal title to a lot in the district is eligible for membership. Each lot gets only one vote, regardless of how many lots the member owns. Joint owners or corporate owners must designate a single representative to vote. Proxies are allowed in writing.
- Board of Directors: The board has 4 to 7 directors, all must be residents of the district and members in good standing. Directors are elected by members for staggered three-year terms; no director may serve more than three terms. The board may include one member of the Mission Hills Park Board as a liaison.
- Meetings & notice: An annual members' meeting is held in the first quarter. Ten members constitute a quorum. Special meetings can be called by the president, a majority of the board, or by members holding at least 1/10 of the votes. Notice must be mailed 10 to 60 days before a regular meeting (5 days for special meetings) and may also be sent by email with member consent.
- Amendments: The bylaws may be altered or repealed at any members' meeting by a majority vote of at least ten members present, provided a quorum exists.
